Seven Wonders Of World.

There are seven structure that are
listed as the seven Wonders of the
the Word.

 (1) The Taj mahal

---   This marble tomb was made in
Agra,  India by the Mughal emperor
Shah Jahan for his wife Mumtaz
Mahal.  Its most beautiful feature
is the dome at the top of the tomb.

(2) The Great Wall of China.

---  This wall is made of multiple,
consecutive military constructions
and buildings,  actual wall,  trenchers
and natural barriers  like hills and
rivers,  to protect China from invasions
by nomadic groups.

(3) Christ  The Redeemer

---  Located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil,
 this statues of Jesus Christ is 30
Metres tall. Made up of soapstone
and concrete,  It weighs 635 tonnes.

(4) Petra

---  The city of Petra in Jardon is
Known for its rock architecture and
water supply system.  It is also called
the Rose city because of the colour
of  the  stone used to build the buildings.

(5) The Pyramid at  Chichen Itza

---  This city built by the mayans contains beautiful stepped Pyramids and temples.
It is located in Mexico.

(6) Roman Colosseum

---  The  Colosseum  located in the
city  of Rome,  Italy, is the largest
open air theatre built During  Roman
times,  it was used for plays,  mock
sea battles and gladiatorial contests.

(7) Machu  Picchu

---  This city was built by the Incas
in Peru.  Its  buildings were made
out of irregularly  cut stone and did
not use any mortar.
